1.08.2004
1994 is ten years ago -- I know that sounds a bit tautological, but bear with me. This SF Chronicle piece highlights the many anniversaries 2004 holds: fifty years of Elvis, 200 years of Nathaniel Hawthorne, and ten years since Kurt Cobain's suicide, "Pulp Fiction," and of course the slo-mo O.J. Bronco ride. Where was I when that whole shebang went down? I was in San Francisco, amazingly enough, finishing up a week of training at Summerbridge -- and I'll never forget it because we all went to see a certain memorable action flick that night. Ahh, good times.
