Over at the Atlantic Monthly, Caitlin Flanagan comes out as a mom who works from home...and employs a nanny to take care of her kids. What will the next earthquake to rock the domestic sphere look like? My prediction -- since we're moving into an all-service economy, we'll go fully retro to the era of Gosford Park, with entire families of domestic servants moving into the palatial McMansions of those who can afford to employ them. Sheesh.
