Today's "technology run amok" story comes in the form of virtual "girlfriends" who appear on your mobile phone, and interact with you more the more (actual!) money you spend on them. Whaaaa? Here's the company developing the software...and they can't quite figure out how to make a Virtual Boyfriend version -- what woman would spend time on that when real world relationships are problematic enough? Sheesh.
