Eric Boehlert at Salon rounds up the latest conservative smear campaign, against military mom Cindy Sheehan: her son was killed last year, and now she's camped in a ditch outside Bush Vacationland in Crawford, TX, waiting for Georgie to accept her invitation to chat. GOP true believers rush to discredit her, because she used to think Bush was a decent guy. What's changed? As she puts it: "Over 1,100 more soldiers are dead since then, the Downing Street memo report came out, the Senate intelligence report has come out, and the 9/11 Commission report has come out. Saddam is gone, they've had free democratic elections in Iraq, and our troops are still there." And yet GWB wants to "stay the course." What a flop.
