Girl With Berries? This image is part of a Library of Congress collection of early color images taken by Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii in the last years of Tsarist Russia. He surveyed rural life by train between 1909 and 1915, using a 3-color glass plate technique which, blended together inside a "magic lantern," project a full-color image.
